Grapes - Chinuri

Tasting - Not a red, not a white, not a rosé. Iago is specialist in making amber wines (orange or skin contact wines if you prefer) from his 2 hectares planted exclusively to Georgia's native Chinuri grape. Always a favourite of ours because it has 'grapeyness' so there's a whiff of stone fruit (apricots?) and a fuzzy grip of gentle tannins.

FYI: Why is this number 6? Because it had six months of grape skin maceration. Iago also produced a number 5 version which had, wait for it, five months of grape skin maceration.

ABV: 12.5%
