'2019 VAGABOND WINERY Pinot Noir Precoce 75cl (Essex, UK)
£17.00
Style - Vibrant
Grapes - 100% Pinot Precoce
Tasting - What an exciting and beautiful red wine. The English climate is so hard to get red grapes ripe hence the use of the precoce clone. 'Puts Beaujolais to shame' says our winemaker Gavin. And it is a zesty, blue and black fruit scented wine which is simply begging you to pour the next glass.
FYI: In Germany Pinot Precoce is grown by some serious producers so there's nothing to be ashamed of. It's no pound-shop variant. They call it Frühburgunder over there but the French name sounds much more chi-chi doesn't it?
ABV: 12.5%
