Tasting - Well Baga me! This is a rich powerful red. Whilst the wine may be delicate on the nose it is far from that on the palate. The clay soils of Bairrada give this wine some depth and structure with taut tannins and a lot of red fruit, but still a lot of freshness.

An irresistible combination of darkness and hefty, savoury structure with the precision and refinement that marks out the world's best wines. Lovers of classical European reds such as Barolo and the best wines from Bordeaux's Médoc really need to give this a try.

FYI: Bairrada, somewhat against expectations - this is a place of hearty, rich red wines after all - is also the main sparkling wine producing region of Portugal.
