Grapes - 100% Chardonnay

Tasting - Classic Chablis which, even in a hot vintage like 2018, retains the crisp lime acids which sit over the ripe core of pineapple, stone fruits and chalky mineral notes. For sure it's a bit 'broader' and richer than the usual austere Chablis style though. As 'basic' Chablis goes we are rather happy to drink this many times over.

FYI: Regarding the estate name - Hâtes - is nothing to do with the English meaning of that word. A hâte is an old French agricultural measurement. Perfectly innocent.
