1999 DOMAINE DE CHEVALIER Blanc 75cl (Bordeaux, France)
Grapes - Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon
Tasting: There's a convincing argument to be made that Domaine de Chevalier Blanc is the best dry white wine in France. Capable of 20-30 years of ageing, it becomes really compelling after 15 years. Smoky, cream, minerals, richness and yet tight and pure. A marvel.
FYI: Owner-manager Oliver Bernard took over this estate when he was only 23 years old.
