We've three different, equally tasty, ways to make fizzy wine showcased in this bundle.
Bubbles make any moment better right? Our Vagabond Pet Not is our take on the ‘method ancestrale’ technique. Bottled while still fermenting it’s a hazy and unadulterated natural wine made from English Pinot Noir Precoce grapes. It’s got a wild, lively, raspberry fruitiness and low alcohol content. Sealed with a beer bottle-like crown cap it requires no ceremony or pomp, simply chill, pop and pour.
Prosecco has become the sparkling wine of the 21st century. But we’re quite particular about the quality standard it needs to reach to be in our range. Hence our choice of the Scandolera Anticato Frizzante. A family run estate utilising grapes grown in the broader Treviso zone as well as some from the top quality hillsides of the Valdobbiadene zone. Super fresh pear and red apple skin fragrance with a pleasingly crisp style a long way from the overly sugary and bland versions it’s all too easy to find.
Champagne: In victory you deserve it, in defeat you need it as Napoloen and Churchill were both keen to remark. We’ll add any point in between those two extremes as well for good measure. Champagne Jean Comyn is a tiny co-operative west of Epernay that we all love to pour ourselves at home. It's a non-vintage that is a classic blend centred on Pinot Meunier for supple fruitiness with a bit of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to up the ambition stakes. This is that rare 'universal' Champagne that wins you plaudits every time it’s poured.
