LUA CHEIA Andreza Altitude Tinto
2020 • 750ml • 13.0%
- Portugal > Douro Valley
- Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca
- Roasted partridge
This wine just sings! Dark fruit of plum and cherry jump out of the glass with some clove. On the palate, the wine is fresh, with violets red grapefruit and dark plums on the finish. But the rounded tannins provide a touch of class, whereas I am just rounded, without the class.
COLIN'S NOTE
Douro Valley was the first region to be added to the UNESCO World Heritage list.
IN SHORT
Plush, fresh, classy, Portuguese-star
Lua Cheia
Lua Cheia-Saven may have started in reverse, but it’s now one of Portugal’s fastest-rising names. With vineyards across Douro, Vinho Verde, Dão and Alentejo, and winemaker Francisco Baptista at the helm, they’ve built a reputation for smart, great-value wines that overdeliver. Throw in the odd ocean-aged experiment and you’ve got a producer that’s credible, creative and right up our street.
