2023 • 750ml • 14.0%
- France > Rhone Valley > Massif d'Uchaux
- Syrah, Grenache
- Gnaw on some biltong
This Syrah and Grenache give a deep wine with blackberry, blackcurrant and black olive fruit. Feel the silky smooth tannins on the palate typically found in this Massif...
COLIN'S NOTE
Aleph is the first letter of the Phoenician alphabet, and meant 'beef'. The A turned upside down thus depicts the horns. And the engraving shows the ceremony of 'beef' during which butchers paraded their oxen.
IN SHORT
Bold, soulful Rhône red from farmers who take meat and wine seriously
FAMILLE DE BOEL FRANCE
Famille de Boël are the rising stars of the Rhône — a young family who swapped years of working for others to launch their own winery in 2016. From their base in Lemps they now craft wines across Saint-Joseph, Cornas and beyond, with an energy and freshness that’s turning heads. Committed to the land, food and the good life, they’re bringing a new spirit to one of France’s oldest wine regions
